Local Homeless Organizations and How They Are Helping
Ability Housing is the only nonprofit in Northeast Florida that focuses on the development and operation of quality affordable rental housing for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness and adults with a disability. They currently have a crowdrise campaign happening and have received funding for 40 families and are trying to get them in housing as soon as possible. Families coming straight from the street have very few belongings, so this campaign will help them start off with a few necessities as they exit homelessness.
